Benefits of LZ membership

The LZ is run for the benefit of all home educators. However, being a member carries some benefits:

• Access to the private “Isle of Wight Learning Zone" Facebook group, for information and support.

• Members can apply for activities they are organising to be ‘adopted’ by the LZ (meaning that the LZ provides advice, funding and/or insurance cover).

• Adopted activities are advertised first on the members Facebook page, giving members early-bird access. 

• Discounts to LZ ‘adopted’ activities (where possible).

• Membership demonstrates that you are an active member of the home education community.

• Being a member of the charity allows you to attend and vote at the AGM – to have your say in shaping the direction of the charity.

Annual Cost

The standard annual membership fee is £20 per annum for a family. If you can afford more, we suggest adding £10 or £20 to this. No questions are asked or checks carried out.
