Together, our members have made a real and lasting difference for families and communities.
Here's what your involvement has made possible this year:
Empowering Local Home Educators
With IWLZ’s charity status, our trustees successfully secured funding from multiple sources—supporting a range of projects tailored to the needs of home educators. Grant applications can be tough, but thanks to the determination of our treasurer and dedicated members, more were successful this year than ever before.
Support Where It’s Needed Most
60 families received warm clothing at significantly reduced prices
50 families benefit from discounted fruit and veg bags each week
Around 30 families gather to learn, play, and support one another at weekly meet-ups in an accessible space
Consistent, accessible space made available each week for hands-on learning, workshops and activities
Families enjoyed subsidised access to activities like climbing, swimming, and even a trip to the UK Parliament
Access to Good Food & Great Experiences
Organising bulk orders isn’t easy, but with the support of our members, regular SUMA wholefood orders run smoothly—making nutritious food more affordable.
Members also enjoy discounted group rates for theatre trips and a wide range of activities including the weekly hub, Herding Cats camp, parties, and a magical visit to the Harry Potter Studios.
Community-Driven and Member-Led
IWLZ doesn’t rely on a single organising committee. Instead, members lead the activities they care about, with encouragement and support from the LZ trustees and fellow members.
Every new member helps us do more. Together, we can continue to change lives. Join us!
